The XV Heads North (and Abroad)!

The XV Brigada had the privilege of attending Aqino Tank Weekend at the Canadian Tank Museum! We had a phenomenal time portraying soldiers and Medical Personnel of the Canadian McKenzie Papineau Battalion. Always a pleasure to get to talk to the public about the history of North Americans who fought in defense of democracy in Spain!

If you're gonna cross the Ebro, you're gonna get wet!

The XV Brigada braved the elements this weekend to attend the amazing Across the Centuries timeline event at Fort Loudoun PA! We portrayed the 58th Battalion (Abraham Lincoln) during the opening phases of the Ebro Offensive of Summer 1938, the last great Republican Offensive of the war. Truly an excellent event!

The XV Brigada returned to Jamestown's Military Through the Ages this past weekend, portraying the survivors of the Abraham Lincoln Battalion in the aftermath of the Aragon Offensive and great retreat of spring 1938. Truly a stellar start to the reenacting season!

The XVBI and friends successfully returned to the Independence Seaport Museum this weekend, portraying ALB Veterans, returned American Medical Bureau nurses, and members of the American Public fundraising for and advocating on behalf of the Spanish Republic in Philadelphia in the fall of 1937. An excellent time was - turnout was good, and the conversations had with the public about the history of the conflict and how it ties into the present day were phenomenal.
