🌽🎯 What an incredible weekend at the Orangeville Legion! 🎯🌽

This past weekend, we hosted our 3rd Annual Spring Co****le Tournament, and we couldn't have asked for a better day. The weather was absolutely fantastic, the energy was high, and the community showing was unmatched!
We were thrilled to welcome 27 amazing teams for a day packed with fun, laughter, and some great friendly competition.

Congratulations to Derek and Bobby for coming in first place, to Rick and Andrea on your second place finish, as well as runners-up Garrett and Scott / Steve and Casey.

❤️ Thank You to Our Volunteers
An event like this doesn't just happen. To all the incredible volunteers who stepped up to help with setup, cleanup, rocking the BBQ, and handling a million other details behind the scenes—thank you. We truly cannot do this without your hard work and dedication. You are the backbone of our Legion!

🏆 To Our Players
Thank you to everyone who came out to play! We are so grateful for your generosity, your kind words, and your incredible support. We had a fantastic day, and we absolutely loved the enthusiasm and gratitude you showed us all day long.

Good day Comrades, and Friends of the RCL Branch 233 Orangeville. I apologize, a long read.
As you know (or not), our Branch is trying to present more things for your enjoyment when visiting our Legion. We have our patio area on the deck, the extension with the picnic tables with cover. We have Wed evening euchre, we have Thurs drop in darts for the summer, with the league starting up in the fall. We also have a shuffleboard and pool table as well as dart boards upstairs.
We have a great kitchen going Wed to Fri. A great bar with smiling and cheerful staff ready to serve you. Airconditioning. A lift ready to get you up and down when required. That is all inside stuff. What was missing was for something to be done on Friday's. The shuffleboard and pool table are there but maybe if we added something that is a little different, it might pique your interest.
HOW ABOUT CORN HOLE.
This game is a lot of fun, a little like horseshoes, but with less damage inside. We have a downstairs area that can be setup to have two positions (see attached pictures) ready to go every Friday. Does not interfere with the parking. It has been tested by me (but that is not saying much). For you pros, come and give it a go. If it is a no go, then we will move on. You do not have to throw the bag 20 feet into the air to get it to the other end (I think).
If you are not good with your hands (EUCHRE), if you are not good at throwing (DARTS) but are good at tossing (CORN HOLE) (no pun intended) then this might be something of interest to you.
The only time CORN HOLE would not be available on Fridays is if the downstairs is booked for a function. For all of you Corn Hole aficionados, good way to keep in shape (again, no pun intended).

Well, look how quiet the Legion is. Pictures taken last night, after the coverings went up over the picnic tables. Well imagine in 10 days, what this area is going to look like and how much people are going to be enjoying themselves, both musically and gastronomically. Just saying, mark your calendar, bring your chairs, get your dancing shoes out and get ready to take them for a ride (so to speak), Hope to see all for another night of some great music, great food and comradery. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
