PowerSkate is back at Olds Figure Skating Club — and public registration opens September 7!

🔥 PowerSkate | Ages 9–12 (U11–U13)

Designed for hockey and ringette players who already have strong basic skating skills and are ready to take their skating to the next level.

Skaters will work on:
⚡ Speed & power
🏒 Agility & control
⛸️ Balance & efficient skating technique
💪 Progressive drills, circuits & game-like challenges

📅 Fall Session: 8 Fridays
⏰ 5:00–6:00 PM or 5:30-6:30 PM
⭐ CanSkate Stage 4 or equivalent skating ability required

🏒⛸️ NEW SKATING PROGRAMS ARE COMING TO OLDS! ⛸️🏒

Olds Figure Skating Club is excited to introduce TWO NEW programs for young hockey and ringette players this fall!

Whether your skater is building strong fundamentals or ready to develop more speed, power and agility, we have a program for them!

⭐ NEW: PRE-POWER CANSKATE | Ages 5–8 (U7–U9)

The perfect bridge between CanSkate and PowerSkate!

Pre-Power CanSkate is designed for young skaters who are progressing but aren’t quite ready for PowerSkate. Skaters will build balance, power, agility, confidence, edge control, stopping, turning, and strong forward and backward skating skills in a hockey/ringette-focused environment.

⏰ 4:00–4:45 PM
🚀 Starts September 21
🍂 24 sessions this fall
💲 Same price as Fall CanSkate
⛸️ CanSkate Stage 2 or equivalent required

🔥 POWERSKATE | Ages 9–12 (U11–U13)

For hockey and ringette players ready to take their skating to the next level!

PowerSkate is a structured skating-development program focused on the speed, power, balance, control, agility and efficient skating technique players need on the ice.

📅 Fridays
⏰ 5:00–6:00 PM or 5:30-6:30 PM
🚀 Starts September 18
🍂 8 sessions this fall
⛸️ CanSkate Stage 4 or equivalent required

Expect progressive drills, circuits, speed work, agility, power, control and game-like challenges!

⚡ This is a skating-development program, not a learn-to-skate program.

Hi Jr & Sr Star Families!

Pre-Season Skating is almost here, but we need your skater to sign up TODAY to help us make these ice times happen!

This is a great chance for Jr & Sr Star skaters to get their legs moving, sharpen their skills, shake off the summer cobwebs, and get back into the skating groove before the regular season begins. 💪⛸️

📅 Pre-Season Ice Times
Friday, September 4: 3:45–4:45 pm
Thursday, September 10: 3:45–4:45 pm
Friday, September 11: 3:45–4:45 pm
Thursday, September 17: 3:45–4:45 pm
Friday, September 18: 3:45–4:45 pm

🚨 TODAY IS THE DEADLINE TO SIGN UP!

Each session needs a minimum of 5 skaters to run. If we don’t have enough registrations, we may have to cancel some (or all!) of these ice times.
