We Need New Faces on the Team

Olds Minor Soccer Club has been proudly run by volunteers for many years - parents, coaches, and community members who’ve helped make soccer possible for hundreds of kids. It’s now time to bring in some new energy and ideas!

Several of our long-time board members are stepping down this year, and we need to fill a few key roles to keep the club running smoothly. These include:

President

Vice President

Treasurer

If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, this is the perfect time. You don’t need to be a soccer expert, just someone who cares about kids, community, and keeping local sports alive. The outgoing board will help guide new members and ensure an easy transition.

Paid Opportunity: Technical Director

We’re also hiring a Technical Director — a part-time/seasonal paid position focused on player and coach development.
This person will:

Support coaches with practice plans and training sessions

Help organize player evaluations and team formation

Work with the board and volunteers to strengthen our programs

Work with coaches to support player development

Oversee practice plans and seasonal programming

Assist with team formation and scheduling

Help raise the standard of soccer across all age groups

We’re hiring and we need your help.
Olds Minor Soccer Club is actively seeking dedicated volunteers and a paid staff member to help keep soccer alive in our community.

Without a Board, There Is No Soccer

We are at a critical crossroads. Many of our current board members have been serving for 6+ years as volunteers. Some no longer have kids in the program, and it’s time to pass the torch. If we do not fill essential board roles at this AGM, Olds Minor Soccer will not be able to continue. This is not an exaggeration.

To operate legally and effectively, we must have quorum, which means filling a minimum number of key positions. If this doesn’t happen, the club will fold.
