💙Sometimes...seeing is believing!💙

When I arrived, in physical pain- the nurses were exceptionally kind and sympathetic- from admitting to being placed on a bed. Dr. Lerm and RN Cassandra were amazing despite my tears and high blood pressure; their bedside manner was amazing. The many other nurses and lab techs that saw me as well carried the same trait. But it wasn't only me- but the other patients they managed in their care while I was there. Kindness and care. It was there. To the staff...THANK YOU!..
Maybe I was expecting outdated equipment and manual blood pressure machines- but I was impressed. New and wider bedside tables. My vitals were monitored automatically every 10 mins, and when no vein was found, a Vein Viewer was used. It seemed basic, but it saw what my untrained eyes didn't see- veins. I've read and seen the pictures of what the Committee has funded, but it did not occur to me - such things made care at the hospital easier for both the team and patient. ..
It definitely opened my eyes to see the 'nice to have' equipment here in Olds. Thank you to the donors who continuously make these purchases happen. Thank you to the Committee as well!
