Last night’s practice put our members through a realistic wildfire scenario that challenged both our skills and teamwork.
Crews practiced drafting water from a creek, establishing and managing multiple water bladders, deploying our portable radio repeater to improve communications, and conducting a tactical evacuation as conditions evolved throughout the evening.
These types of scenarios help ensure we are prepared for wildfires, while strengthening our ability to work together under pressure. It was a great night of training, and every member brought their best effort to the exercise.
A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the training a success.
