πβοΈ THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS βοΈπ
What an incredible stretch of racing at the Agnico Eagle Classic and the Antoine Classic π
As a not-for-profit team, weekends like these simply do not happen without our volunteers. Period.
Our parent volunteers are up at 6:00AM, driving to the hill in the dark, setting up fencing, netting, timing, registration β sometimes in -40Β° weather β and staying until the very last panel is pulled. We have literally run races in -40Β° because of their dedication. That is commitment. That is heart. That is ski racing. βοΈπ₯
And for many of us, this isnβt our first season doing it. Most of our families have been volunteering race weekends for years β building experience, friendships, resilience, and a deep love for this sport. This community is built on long-standing dedication.
Our athletes and alumni come back to give their time. Our board members step in wherever needed. Student volunteers show up ready to work. Other clubs support us on race day. And if youβve never helped run a race, you truly donβt realize the amount of planning, coordination, grit, and teamwork it takes. Not everyone makes it through a full race weekend.
We also want to sincerely thank both hills for continuing to support our events:
π Laurentian Ski Hill
π Antoine Mountain
To ski patrol, our timing crew (because not just anyone can time a race!), course workers, gate judges, starters, finish crews, and every single person who stepped up β thank you.
A special thank you to our incredible coaches β Coach Alex, Coach Mike, Coach Rea, Harley and Jack β for the countless hours on snow and behind the scenes. And to our TD, Alan Chute, for your leadership, experience, and steady guidance throughout the weekend. We are so grateful.
We are dedicated to this sport.
We are dedicated to our athletes.
We are dedicated to the future of ski racing.
None of it happens without you. πβ·οΈ
π Stay tuned for our Volunteer Giveaway β because we canβt thank you enough! π
