One more Monday to catch the youth rugby skills camp!

Interested in giving rugby a try? Nanaimo Hornets is hosting a FREE Youth Skills Camp for kids ages 5 - 8 in Deverill Park on Mondays from 5:30 PM - 6:15 PM (with pizza - did we mention it's free??).

Drop-in, no sign up necessary. Next Monday, November 2 is the last chance to catch the camp this year!

Hey neighbours! Tomorrow, October 14, you can advance vote in the Nanaimo municipal election - including for Mayor, Council and School Trustees at the Beban Park Social Centre, located at 2300 Bowen Road, with voting available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Election day is October 17, and there are voting stations throughout Nanaimo from 8 AM to 8 PM including at the City of Nanaimo building at 411 Dunsmuir Street and John Barsby Secondary School at 550 Seventh Street and MANY other locations.

Renting and not sure if you are eligible to vote? Wondering about how many people you have to vote for? Curious with other questions?

Hey neighbours - as you are considering your plans for September 30, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, please consider joining us a Deverill Square from 9.30 AM - 2 PM.

The City of Nanaimo is inviting residents to gather for a day of recreation, reflection and community activities on Sept. 30, marking the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Thanks to our neighbours who came out to connect and have some hot dogs in the park last night! Bocce was on hand, good tunes were played, and I think we were all pretty stoked about the amazing new artwork by Noel Brown going in at the Deverill Park sport court - be sure to come and check it out!
