I am deeply honored and humbled to share that I was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal during the 2026, Black History Gala in Nanaimo .
This recognition for my work with the Nanaimo African Heritage Society means the world to me. My mission has always been to celebrate our rich history, advocate for diversity, and empower the community to lead with confidence. To have that commitment recognized on this level is a reminder of why this work matters so much.
Thank you to MP Lisa Marie Barron for the nomination and to the Nanaimo-Ladysmith community for your endless support. We are stronger together! ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

๐ŸŽค Meet Pamela Sylvan โ€” Master of Ceremonies for Harlem Night 2026

A powerful threshold-keeper for women in midlife, Pamela is the founder of Elder Skool, a transformational membership for accomplished women 50+ navigating their next becoming. Blending executive clarity with spiritual grounding, she guides women through reinvention with courage, community, and purpose.

An author, storyteller, vanlifer, and homesteader, Pamela lives her work out loud โ€” embracing aging, visibility, and what she calls โ€œdie sexyโ€: staying fully engaged and vibrant at every stage of life.

For the 2026 Harlem Night Black History Gala, Pamela brings reverence, joy, and the art of holding powerful space โ€” honouring elders while celebrating those still becoming.
