For generations, Ukrainians moved westward seeking opportunity, building communities from the Prairies to the Pacific. Today, vibrant Ukrainian dance groups, choirs, churches, organizations, and cultural leaders continue that story on Canada's westernmost shores.

The West Coast Ukie Fest celebrates that journey.

From the heart of Ukraine to the edge of the Pacific Ocean, our culture has travelled thousands of kilometres and across generations. Songs were carried. Dances were taught. Traditions were preserved. Communities were built.

Today, we gather to celebrate all of it.

Because culture survives when people come together to share it.
