A great time was had by this spirited group! Thank you all for coming out🙏🏻❤️

While the mathematics of it all eluded some of us (Irene 😂), we produced 95 hefty 500ml containers of a bright, fresh Quinoa Veggie Salad for our area community fridges, and loaded the pantries with 176lbs of fresh produce.

Thank you to Town of Three Rivers and Buddhist Nuns of PEI - GWBI for the funding, Growers Station for the island-grown veg, and LOWER MONTAGUE WOMEN'S INSTITUTE for the beautiful space. Without our volunteers and all of you, we couldn’t carry any of this out. We are very grateful🙏🏻

We are excited to partner with S&K Greenhouse and Farms to bring communities together around food. Sarabjit of S&K Greenhouse and Farms has a vision that involves providing for the community. This collaboration between S&K and DEFC will result in creative events involving fresh, locally-grown food. Stay tuned!

Thanks to our volunteers who came out this morning - and the lovely visit from 3 of the members of the GWBi who kindly helped with the harvest and then surprised us with a generous monetary donation to help us continue our cook days! Thank you, Buddhist Nuns of PEI - GWBI for your kindness and for all YOU do in our community🙏🏻❤️
