These are pictures showing members of the KCMH passing out Quality Street candy to the Riverview Manor and KCMH hospital staffs recently. The first two are donations from the Auxiliary to the Food Bank and Lions Club.

At the 60th annual health care auxiliaries meeting today, May 3rd, 2025, five of our ladies from the KCMH Auxiliary, shown in the picture, along with five other Auxiliaries , came together for our annual meeting. We’d like to thank the host committee for sharing this day with approximately 60 members where we get to meet old friends and make new ones. A beautiful meal was served, business was conducted , and each Auxiliary gave an update on the work that they do. The goal of each Auxiliary is to enhance patient care and comfort in our facilities and that is being accomplished by each of the six Auxiliaries. We are very proud to be part of this organization.

The opening ceremony for donors to the Downeast Clinic has been cancelled for today due to the weather. A new date is pending.

Two of the KCMH Auxiliary executive, Shirley Johnston and Shirley Macdonald, are shown in the first picture giving our annual donation of $3000 to Norma Dingwell of the southern Kings and Queens food Bank.

Each Christmas we also give Quality Street treats to the various staffs and shifts at the KCMH and Riverview Manor. Shirley and Jeannie are seen in the second photo presenting treats at Riverview Manor.

In the third photo we see some of our members attending our 2024 Christmas luncheon.

This popped up in my memories from December 8, 2021. Thought it might be nice to see as we are actually gathering tomorrow at lunch for our Christmas Auxiliary luncheon for 2024.

We would like to thank the CUPE Union local 1778 of KCMH Hospital and Riverview Manor for donating $200 to our auxiliary to use in our caring for the patients of Kings County Memorial Hospital and residents at Riverview Manor. We appreciate their Christmas spirit and it will be put to very good use in the coming days. Thank you again.
