A wonderful morning at the museum! We were thrilled to welcome Tiro and Elayna all the way from Chilliwack, BC, for a tour of our newly renovated space.

They were in awe of the sheer size of the lighthouse and the beauty of the artifacts on display.

This season marks the monumental 150th anniversary of the historic Wood Islands Lighthouse, and we can’t wait to welcome visitors from near and far. Come celebrate history with us! 🌊⚓

We were so excited to host our first official tour of the season! We literally finished the second-floor renovation minutes before the visitors from the cruise ship Volendam arrived. A HUGE thank you to all the hard-working trades people, staff and volunteers who worked long hours to get us ready to go for a busy 2026 season!
We officially open to the public this Monday June 1 at 9am! 😊

We have over 50 vendors taking part in the 70 Mile Coastal Yardsale at our facility in Wood Islands this weekend. There'll be lots of good food onsite as well!
This year we'll be raffling off an original painting of the historic Wood Islands Lighthouse created by Jim Steadman of Cablehead valued at $500! Secondary prizes include a ferry pass compliments of Northumberland Ferries, 2kg of pure Island honey compliments of PEI Bees, a hand made Charcuterie Board created by Grant Critch and more! Draw will take place Sunday at 4pm at the Wood Islands Market
