Pops NB 2026 is coming to Greater Moncton!

We are excited to announce Pops NB 2026, a music festival celebrating the young musicians of Sistema NB and the music of the orchestra.

From June 22–26, 2026, Pops NB will bring music to the Greater Moncton Area through free and accessible concerts, community events, and special performances. With young musicians, professional artists, guest performers, and orchestral music at the center, this festival is uniquely Sistema NB and uniquely New Brunswick.

The festival will culminate with the Pops NB Mainstage Finale at Victoria Park on Friday, June 26. Presented in collaboration with MAGMA as part of the Mosaïq Festival, the evening begins with a community BBQ at 4:30 PM, followed by an outdoor concert at 6:00 PM featuring the Sistema NB Children’s Orchestra and Sistema NB Youth Orchestra.

This joyful celebration will bring together young musicians from across New Brunswick for a dynamic concert of pop hits, classical favourites, and NB pride.

Nous sommes ravis d’annoncer Pops NB 2026, un festival de musique qui célèbre les jeunes musiciens de Sistema NB et la musique de l’orchestre.

Du 22 au 26 juin 2026, Pops NB fera vibrer la région du Grand Moncton grâce à des concerts gratuits et accessibles, des événements communautaires et des prestations spéciales. Avec les jeunes musiciens, les artistes professionnels, les invités et la musique orchestrale au cœur du festival, Pops NB est une célébration unique à Sistema NB et au Nouveau-Brunswick.

Le festival culminera avec la finale Pops NB sur la scène principale au parc Victoria le vendredi 26 juin. Présentée en collaboration avec MAGMA dans le cadre du Festival Mosaïq, la soirée débutera par un BBQ communautaire à 17 h, suivi d’un grand concert en plein air à 18 h mettant en vedette l’Orchestre des enfants de Sistema NB et l’Orchestre des jeunes de Sistema NB.

Cette célébration rassemblera de jeunes musiciens de partout au Nouveau-Brunswick pour un concert dynamique de succès pop, de grands classiques et de fierté néo-brunswickoise.

The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra was proud to present the Community Champion Award to Monique Boudreau, District Superintendent of the District scolaire francophone Sud, at the Sistema NB Moncton Finale Concert on June 13 at Tidal Church.

Monique has been a steadfast supporter of Sistema New Brunswick from its earliest days, helping create opportunities for hundreds of children and youth to experience the power of music, belonging, and community.

As Monique prepares for retirement, we are grateful for her leadership, partnership, and lasting impact on families across New Brunswick. We congratulate her on a remarkable career serving New Brunswick’s children and youth.

Through years of dedication, perseverance, and musical excellence, Amy Robichaud and Alexander Urbina have earned acceptance to the prestigious Royal College of Music in London, UK, the No. 1 ranked music conservatory in the world. All proceeds from this performance will help support them as they begin this remarkable next chapter.

What a special moment!

Amy is heading to the Royal College of Music, London, UK, in September, and now she is going with her very own professional-level bass trombone.

On Friday, May 29, we welcomed special guests to New Brunswick from Long & McQuade, Eastman/Shires and Backun Instruments. At a meeting of the Rotary Club of Moncton West & Riverview, Jay Schreiber of Eastman and Shires Company presented Amy with an incredible gift: a brand new Shires bass trombone.

Amy has been part of Sistema NB since Grade 3. Like all Sistema NB students, she was provided with an instrument from her very first day in the program. Now, as she prepares to take this next major step in her musical journey at the Royal College of Music, she needed an instrument of her own.

Thanks to the generosity of great friends of the program, she now has one.

These two incredible NBYO musicians have earned spots in the National Youth Orchestra of Canada (NYO Canada)- competing against nearly 500 auditions for just 90 places in the orchestra.

At only 16, they are among the youngest musicians selected this season. As the first Sistema New Brunswick participants ever accepted into NYO Canada, They’re opening doors for the next generation of musicians in New Brunswick. 🎶🇨🇦

Voilà le résultat de plusieurs années d’engagement, d’un enseignement exceptionnel et d’une confiance inébranlable dans le potentiel des jeunes. Bravo à Xavier et Émilie, ainsi qu’à leurs professeurs artistes : nous ne pourrions être plus fiers !
