Sunday, November 9th at 4pm.

On March 14, 1891, a vigilante mob in the city of New Orleans shot and lynched 11 innocent Italian Americans for their alleged role in the murder of city police chief David Hennessy after some of them had been acquitted at trial.

It was one of the largest single mass lynchings in American history. On the anniversary of this darkest chapter in Italian American history, let us remember those who lost their lives that day.

In Italia, Ferragosto è una festa tradizionale dedicata al riposo e al divertimento con i propri cari, che segna il culmine dell'estate. Speriamo che possiate trascorrere questo "Ferragosto" con la stessa allegria, anche se siamo lontani dalla nostra amata terra. Godiamoci questo momento di convivialità e tradizione insieme!
