Southeast New Brunswick Badminton Club

Southeast New Brunswick Badminton Club SNBBC: Badminton Club in the Moncton region. The SNBBC was created in September, 2011. We decided to create a club for adults who love the game of badminton.

This club is for both recreational and semi-competitive players. We use a system that allows players to play against others of similar calibre. We play mostly doubles and mixed but singles will be allowed if courts are available. Check out our website for more information! http://snbbc.webs.com

Fee Update

Effective June 1st our guest "drop-in" fee will be $10.

We've maintained the same drop in fee since opening in 2012, even though costs have risen over the last 13 years.

Unfortunately, we had to make this adjustment.

Thank you for understanding and we appreciate your support.

RE: POSSIBLE WEEK-NIGHT OPPORTUNITY FOR GUESTS

Hello SNBBC followers!

As you know our badminton club has limited space and gym time so unfortunately we limit our memberships. However, sometimes our members are absent leaving empty spots available during our week night sessions. We would like to start giving guests an opportunity to fill these empty spaces. These spaces are limited and not always available, and we will not be able to accommodate all requests. We will prioritize people who are currently on our membership waiting list as well as regular participants from our open Saturday morning sessions. If you're interested in being on our "week-night guest list" please send us an email at [email protected] and provide your contact information. If we have space available on the day of our event- for now we will send out invitations.

We will work on figuring out a better way to manage this system if there's a lot of interest. For now, add your name to the list and we will reach out to you if we have space available. This will mostly be on Wednesday nights.

Lastly, I need to clarify some info about our club to manage expectations. Generally speaking, players at our club are people who regularly play, or have played a lot in the past. Our attendees know the rules of the game and have experience playing. Players coming to the club are looking to jump into games and play. Unfortunately we do not have a beginner program and we do not provide instruction or training. As this is something our club may try to do in the future - we currently don't have the gym time or space to accommodate this. If you're just starting out or you don't know the rules and you just want to casually play - there are some other venues such as the Dieppe College and the YMCA where you may feel more comfortable at this stage of your badminton journey. If you have any questions let us know and we'll do our best to answer them for you.

If we don't get back to you right away, please be patient. Our committee members have families and hold full time jobs - we do our best to reply to messages when we can.

Thank you for following the SNBBC! We appreciate it!
