Our islands are close-knit. That’s our greatest strength. But when crime happens, it can also make speaking up feel complicated.

Whether it’s stolen fishing gear, property damage, or illicit activity moving through our harbours —staying silent doesn't protect the community. It only protects the perpetrator.

With N.B. Crime Stoppers, you never have to put your name on the line. Every tip is anonymous. We don’t trace calls. We don’t record numbers. You will never testify in court.

You share what you know, not who you are. And if your information helps solve a case, you could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.

If you have information on crime throughout the Fundy Isles or any community in New Brunswick, contact N.B. Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or online at https://www.crimenb.ca. You can also download the P3 Tips Mobile App. Remember, we want your information - not your name. We promise anonymity!

Wonderful news!

The Codiac Regional RCMP has recovered the bronze maple leaf from the Honour Garden (RCMP monument) that was reported stolen in August 2026.

On September 27, 2026, at approximately 9 p.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP received information indicating that an individual was believed to be in possession of the stolen memorial leaf.

On September 28, 2026, as part of the ongoing investigation, members of the Codiac Regional RCMP Crime Reduction Unit's Property Crime Team and Priority Offender Team arrested a 46-year-old man at a business on Edinburgh Drive in Moncton. Investigators had obtained evidence indicating that the man was in possession of the stolen bronze maple leaf.

Police subsequently executed a search warrant at a residence on Church Street in Moncton, where they recovered the missing bronze maple leaf. The bronze maple leaf was recovered damaged but is currently being assessed.

"We are relieved that this important memorial item has been recovered" says Cpl. Luc Picard of the Codiac Regional RCMP. "This outcome is the result of information received from the public and the dedicated work of our investigators, particularly members of our Crime Reduction Unit's Property Crime Team. This investigation demonstrates the value of timely information from the public and the effectiveness of targeted policing initiatives in addressing property crime in our communities. We would like to thank everyone who assisted in this investigation."

The investigation is ongoing.
