We are proud to share that Harvest House Atlantic has achieved primer accreditation with Accreditation Canada for our Recovery Program.

This achievement marks an important milestone, recognizing the strength, progress and ongoing development of our Recovery Program as we continue working to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

What a remarkable evening! Thanks to your incredible generosity, Harvest House Atlantic has surpassed our $150,000 fundraising goal! Our final tally is still underway as additional donations come in.

The night was even more impactful than we had planned for! While our Dinner of Hope was underway, attending staff from our Prevention and Housing Teams were working to rescue a senior in our community - a man in his 80s living in the woods in his car, facing the risk of freezing in the cold. Our team worked to help him access a safe space that night and is now working with Partner agencies to get him long-term housing.

This is the heart of Harvest House Atlantic showing up when it matters most.
To every partner, guest, and volunteers, thank you for standing with us.
Together, we are doing more than raising funds. We are changing lives, restoring hope, and making a difference when it matters most.

Today, October 17, marks the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, a time to reflect on the challenges many individuals face and the importance of compassion, inclusion, and community support.

On this meaningful day, we are incredibly proud to share that the Staff and Volunteers of Harvest House Atlantic have been selected as recipients of the 2026 Economic and Social Inclusion (ESI) Award in the Non-Profit Sector, presented by the New Brunswick Economic and Social Inclusion Corporation!

This recognition highlights the dedication of those who work every day to support individuals experiencing poverty and homelessness through meals, shelter, recovery programs, and housing support.

To our amazing staff and volunteers, this award is a celebration of YOU! Your compassion, commitment, and tireless efforts make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

As we reflect on the significance of this day, we are reminded that meaningful change happens when communities come together to ensure no one is left behind.

A Thanksgiving Filled with Gratitude and HOPE!

Last Friday, we witnessed the incredible generosity of our community as over 300 plates of Brazilian food were served to those in need. Just one day later, that same spirit of generosity continued as our community, volunteers, and dedicated staff came together to serve 361 Thanksgiving meals at Harvest House Atlantic!

What an incredible reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to care for one another.

A huge thank you to Crandall University and the 12 students who joined us, along with the other wonderful volunteers who generously gave their time to help make the day special.

We’re also incredibly grateful to James and Matt, who lead preparations for the Thanksgiving meal, and to Feed Nourrir NB, Loblaws, and Mcbuns Bakery for their generous donations that helped make it all possible.

To everyone who played a part in these two incredible days of giving, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and continued support.

Together, we're making a difference and sharing HOPE with our community.

Congratulations to Kathy James!

We are excited to celebrate Kathy James, Harvest House Atlantic’s Board Vice Chair and Women’s Recovery Volunteer/Mentor, who recently received a City of Moncton Social Inclusion Award in the Volunteer category at the Social Inclusion Summit, held on September 29th at the Delta.

Kathy’s connection to Harvest House goes all the way back to 2006. She serves as a dedicated Board member, but her impact reaches far beyond her leadership role.

Kathy is deeply involved in supporting women in our recovery program, regularly giving her time through mentorship, book clubs, and lasting connection with residents. She also goes above and beyond by personally providing food, supplies, and other items to support women throughout their recovery journeys.

Her commitment reflects a genuine desire to help women feel supported, valued, and connected to their community.

Kathy, thank you for the years of compassion, generosity, leadership, and service you have given to Harvest House Atlantic and the people we serve. We are so proud to see your dedication recognized with this well-deserved award.
