A MEANINGFUL VISIT. A SHARED COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY.

It was a pleasure welcoming The Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Member of Parliament Ginette Petitpas Taylor, to The Mandate Development Centre (TMDC) in Moncton!

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to share our vision, showcase our growing community initiatives, and explore how collaboration can create meaningful opportunities for individuals and families across Greater Moncton.

From community support and homelessness initiatives to youth development, skills training, creative entrepreneurship, and newcomer inclusion, our discussions highlighted the importance of connecting community-driven solutions with public leadership.

A special highlight of the visit was the opportunity to feature MP Ginette Petitpas Taylor on My Community with Maruf Hassan, a TMDC Studios conversation series. The conversation offered another platform to explore her journey in public service, community leadership, and the people and priorities shaping our region.

We sincerely appreciate MP Petitpas Taylor for taking the time to engage with our team, learn about our work, and share her perspectives with our community.

Meaningful conversations build connections. Strong partnerships create opportunities. Together, we make an impact.

GREATER MONCTON COMMUNITY FOOD SUPPORT INTEREST SURVEY

Do you need weekly food support? We want to hear from you!

Through The Helping Hand Project, The Mandate Development Centre (TMDC) is working to improve access to food support for individuals and families across Greater Moncton.

If you live in Moncton, Dieppe, or Riverview, are not currently registered with an existing food bank, and would like to access weekly food support, this survey is for you!

Your response will help us understand community needs, identify interested households, and plan direct food support for those who may not yet be accessing existing services.

Complete the short survey here: https://shorturl.at/20OKR

PLEASE SHARE! Help us reach individuals, newcomers, and families who may benefit from this initiative.

Please note: Completing the survey does not guarantee immediate food assistance. It helps us assess needs and coordinate future support.

WORLD HOMELESS DAY 2026

KINDNESS IS POWER.

On World Homeless Day, The Mandate Development Centre, through The Helping Hand Project, is launching the next chapter of our community campaign:

KINDNESS IS POWER

A movement bringing individuals, families, businesses, organizations, volunteers and community leaders together around one simple belief:

No act of kindness is too small when a community acts together.

COMMUNITY FOOD BANK FUNDRAISER FESTIVAL

A community-powered gathering designed to mobilize resources, raise support and strengthen our collective response to food insecurity and homelessness.

Food, Community, Music, Giving, Volunteering, Partnership. Impact.

One community coming together for another.

A community where dignity matters.

Where hope remains alive.

Where care becomes action.

Where kindness becomes culture.

And where KINDNESS BECOMES POWER.

CARE

Care is more than feeling concerned.

Care shows up.

It volunteers.
It listens.
It gives.
It shares.
It checks on a neighbour.
It makes room at the table.

Strong communities are not built only by institutions. They are built when ordinary people decide that what happens to another person matters to them.

Today, we choose care.

HOPE

Sometimes the greatest thing we can give someone is a reason to believe tomorrow can be different.

Hope can begin with a meal.
A conversation.
A warm coat.
A connection.
An opportunity.
Someone simply saying, “I see you.”

Small acts can become turning points in someone’s story.

Today, we choose hope.

DIGNITY

Everyone deserves to be seen.

Dignity means looking beyond someone’s circumstances and recognizing their humanity.

A person experiencing homelessness is still a neighbour.
A family struggling with food insecurity still deserves choice.
Someone asking for help still deserves respect.

Today, we choose dignity.

BE KIND.

You never truly know what someone is carrying.

The person beside you may be fighting a battle they have never spoken about.
A family may be choosing between groceries and rent.
Someone smiling at you may be wondering where their next meal will come from.

So, BE KIND.

Kindness doesn’t always require money.
Sometimes it is listening.
Sometimes it is sharing.
Sometimes it is checking in.
Sometimes it is simply treating another person with dignity.

One small act may not change the whole world

but it can change someone’s world today.

Choose compassion.
Choose dignity.
Choose to care.

BE KIND.
KINDNESS IS POWER.
