Last Aid is a public education course brought to you by Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association that helps to raise awareness on topics like palliative care, death, dying, grief and bereavement.
Most of us will care for a loved one who is ill, dying or grieving, yet many of us do not feel prepared. Last Aid Training aims to increase community participation in Palliative Care, discussing how we can all play a role in supporting one another through life’s final chapters.
Join facilitators A N I T A 🪩 (BLS with Anita) and Anne Stewart (Holding Space Halton) as they guide you through the essentials of palliative care, bereavement and practical support for every community member. Please swipe through this post to get to know them.
Through this workshop, you’ll gain confidence and tools to care for those close to you during life’s most difficult transitions.
A short lunch break is included in the timing of this course.
North Halton Hospice is offering this course to the community sponsored by donations through Giving Tuesday.
This workshop will be in-person on Saturday, September 19th at our future hospice site — 8958 Trafalgar Rd, Georgetown — from 10 AM-2 PM.
Registration is free and required, there are only 20 spots, we recommend registering soon before they’re gone! Link to register is here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/last-aid-course-sept-19-hillcrest-united-church-on-tickets-1998379087646
