Giving Back to Halton Families This Christmas
At the beginning of this year, Pack a Bag for a Friend Foundation announced its retirement after 10 years of giving back to the Halton community during the Christmas season. For a decade, the Foundation supported local families in need by providing children with fully packed backpacks and festive turkey food hampers.
We recognized that the retirement of the program left a significant gap in our community—particularly when it came to food security for more than 600 families who relied on this support during the holiday season.
As a result, we are pleased to announce that, for the 2026 Christmas Season, Pack a Bag for a Friend will reinstate its Turkey Festive Food Hamper Program.
While the children’s backpack program will not be returning, we are committed to ensuring that families in our community can once again experience the joy and dignity of having a festive meal on their table at Christmas.
With the generous support of many of our valued contributors, we are working to make this program possible.
We are seeking monetary donations to help provide Turkey Festive Food Hampers to families in need across the Halton community. Every contribution, large or small, will help make a meaningful difference this Christmas.
We are incredibly grateful to our past supporters and to everyone who continues to believe in the importance of giving back to our community.
