Put safety first! Time to start asking why Milton is different than our neighbour fire departments. These standards (NFPA 1710) are put in place to make sure the safety and well being of the public and the firefighters are top priority.

We should not be risking the public and firefighter safety. It’s time to start asking “why”? Why is Milton different? Why do Milton’s trucks get understaffed?Why is NFPA 1710 that was recommended and approved by council, not being followed? Ask “why”?

Milton residents need to understand what is happening. Emergency services and the safety of the people in Milton should always be the top priority. If low taxes or cost savings is a priority, the fire service and emergency services should be the last place that happens. Milton should have at least the same level of service as all of our neighbouring municipalities. It’s time to start asking “why”? Why is Milton different? Why do we have less career firefighters? And why do we spend the least amount on a life saving service?
