On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, Halton Region Waste Management Disposal Facility team showed outstanding generosity by donating approximately 20 boxes of non-perishable food items to support families in need.

We are deeply grateful for this contribution, which helps us continue our efforts to fight hunger in Canada. These students and their families are truly valuable members of our community. Milton Halal Food Bank had the pleasure of receiving an invite to P.L Robertson's 2026 iftar dinner, during which the students, staff, parents and community came together to donate non-perishable food items through their food drive, as well as over $700 by cheque!

We'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all involved in giving to our cause and believing in our mission. It warms our hearts knowing our community fosters an environment where combatting food insecurity is a point of focus. And the students of P.L Robertson showed up!

They donated non-perishable items such as canned foods, rice, pasta, soup, juice, and more!

We'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the students, staff, parents and community at Bruce Trail Public school! The students came together and made a substantial donation to Milton Halal Food Bank. Donations like these, especially in the month of Ramadan, are what enable us to fight food insecurity.

We thank the students for the initiative they've shown. It's an inspiration to us all that the youth of today care so much about their community and that the parents are instilling powerful values in their children.

The Milton Halal Food Bank thanks Councillor Adil Khalqi (Town of Milton) for organizing a food drive on January 24, 2026, at Pak Foods Milton, raising nearly $3,000 in donations.

These funds help provide access to halal food with dignity and care for families in our community. We are grateful to everyone who contributed.
