What a great day! Donations are still to be calculated but thus far, from October 18th's event, we raised over $16 000! This is what we can do when we come together as a community! Go team Zach Strong! 💪🎗️❤️

Only just over one week away until our Winterhawks vs Cancer fundraiser!!

We are so happy to announce that Scotiabank will be supporting us by offering their match program for donations made up to $5000 at the Milton Sports Centre on Oct 18th! Note that only cash is accepted for this program thus far :)

Furthermore, Zach's wonderful friend, Kenneth, has thoughtfully written and recorded a song AND video about Zach which will be sold via USB/keychain with ALL proceeds benefiting Childhood Cancer Canada!!! It's such a catchy tune and the message is so meaningful :)

Hope to see you there to honour Zach's memory and to raise money for pediatric cancer research and support children enduring a cancer diagnosis. 🎗️💗🎗️

Join us at the Milton Sports Centre for an exciting afternoon as the Milton Winterhawks take on childhood cancer!

This fun-filled fundraiser is in memory of Zach Gibson, a former Winterhawk who succumbed to pediatric cancer in November 2025. It supports Childhood Cancer Canada and brings the community together for a great cause - to FIGHT childhood cancer!

On October 18th, show your support and make a difference in the lives of kids battling cancer and their families. Because every child deserves a childhood, not a cancer diagnosis.

A great day is planned for our 'Winterhawks vs Cancer' fundraiser on October 18th, 2026 from 3-7pm at the Milton Sports Centre!

Join us for food and ice cream trucks, vendors, live music, amazing giveaways, a silent auction, hockey equipment exchange, open skate and an entertaining game between the Milton Winterhawks and the Halton Regional Police Service!

HELP US help families of children enduring a cancer diagnosis and ADVANCE childhood cancer research by participating in this meaningful event in memory of Zach Gibson, brave cancer warrior, former Milton Minor Hockey Association player and Halton Police Chief for a day!

100 percent of net proceeds will be donated to Childhood Cancer Canada.

THANK YOU to everyone who donated $ to support Childhood Cancer Canada via The Ottawa Tamarack Run. It was an amazing experience (my first!) and I am happy to report that I raised over $2300 and Zach's brother raised over $600! Our wonderful team made our day such a memorable one! Hopefully this will be an annual event moving forward to honour Zach and to help families enduring a cancer diagnosis 🎗️

Today marked 6 months since Zach's passing. 💔 This heartbreaking day was softened because of the hard working students and staff at MDSS who honoured Zach at their Relay for Life today. Zach's amazing friend spoke about him at the luminary ceremony and I can't help but think that the school surpassed their fundraising goal by over $12 000 (and reached $52 000 so far) due to Zach's story. 🎗️❤️
