Chilli & Coats is Back!

ICS Merritt is excited to host the 4th Annual Chilli & Coats event on October 16th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Spirit Square.

Join us for a warm bowl of chilli and a hot drink while browsing a free selection of new and gently used winter clothing in a variety of sizes. As the weather gets colder, we're proud to help community members stay warm and connected.

Need winter gear? Come by and find what you need!

Want to help? Winter clothing donations can be dropped off at 2040 Granite Ave. now until October 15 between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

We look forward to coming together once again to support our community and help everyone get ready for the winter season!

What does a Family Support Worker do?

Sometimes life feels overwhelming, and no one has to navigate it alone.

Family Support Workers at Interior Community Services walk alongside individuals and families by providing practical support, encouragement, and connections to resources that can make everyday life a little easier.

Support may include:
🌱 Parenting support
💙 Wellness and self-care
🏡 Life skills such as budgeting, meal planning, organization, and accessing community resources
🗣️ Communication and healthy relationships
🎯 Goal setting and building routines
🤝 Advocacy and connecting to services

The role of a Family Support Worker is not to judge or tell people what to do. It is to provide support, build on strengths, and work together toward the goals that matter most to each individual and family.

If you or someone you know could benefit from some extra support, please reach out to learn more about available services.
