NVSC in Merritt BC, offers Skate Canada, Learn to Skate, Figure Skating, Competitive Skating & Power skating programs run out of Nicola Valley Memorial. & Shulus arenas. Come and join our Club, and fun community of skaters and families.

Nicola Valley Skating Club is a energetic, continuously growing, thriving, fun Club located in Merritt BC. Learn to Skate,

Figure Skating & Power skating programs are run out of the Nicola Valley Memorial & Shulus arenas. Receiving Gold and Silver Club Rankings in BC with Skate Canada, and the 2019 & 2020 People Choice Awards for Best Sports Organization. We provide excellent, caring, positive coaching all taught by a local fully qualified Provincial Trained Coach. Skaters excel in every discipline, and receive equal attention. With strong emphasis on skating skills and high standards of excellence, we have received proven results with Regional Championship, and Provincial competition podium finishes.

Last week of Spring skate!!⛸️⛸️
This week is the very last week of skating!!

Everyone has really taken advantage of the extra month and lots of progress each week for every skater,  including learning, achieving new elements, harness training and testing for STARskaters. We have been busy!

Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 3-5pm

Take advantage of the last 3 days of our season. As that's all folks!

Sad to see it end, but it gives everyone a great chance to enjoy other sports and activities until Summer skate begins in August.

Next event planned....is Awards day.

⛸️🏅👏🏻CanSkate & Junior Elements Competition.
📰🗞️Merritt Herald this week.🗞️📰

March 11th, NVSC held an Elements Competition for our rising stars and the future of the club. PreCan, CanSkate, Jr. Academy, Jr. STARs.

Close to 30 skaters participated in the fun event to close out our regular season.

"It's usually the first exposure skaters receive for competing. It is such a confidence boost as everyone receives a ribbon based on their overall skills performance."

Every biennial year we hold this super fun event. It is offset with our Ice Show which we will be showcasing again next year.

Our Juniors & STARskate programs will continue their training in our annual Spring skate for another month, with Off-ice & On- ice sessions already underway.
