These monthly dinners play a vital role in DARS programming. For Hindu/Sikh refugees from Pakistan seeking refuge in the arid Thar desert of Rajasthan, India near Jaisalmer under difficult living conditions, access to clean, safe and scarce drinking water has always been a big issue. Families have to walk long distances to fetch water and often poor quality of this water has impacted their health.

With donations from the family of Late Anil Sharma Ji, two in-ground water storage tanks of 5,000 litre capacity each were built in Mool Sagar and Amar Sagar settlements. This will provide easy and safe access to drinking water to approx 400 refugees living in these settlements 🇮🇳
