MSH is honoured to care for the more than 450,000 residents of Markham, Stouffville, Uxbridge, Richmond Hill, eastern York Region, north Durham and north Scarborough. Government can’t fund all life-saving equipment and top priority needs. Everyone revved up their engines at the “Fast and FURR-ious" photobooth proving our crew brings incredible energy to the workplace every single day.

A special celebration of dedication to care close to home.

We recently celebrated Ken Moon and unveiled the Kenneth I. Moon Assessment Room, located in the Plastics Clinic at Oak Valley Health’s Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH), in recognition of his generous donation.

This naming is an especially meaningful reflection Ken’s longstanding involvement with our hospital. For more than nine years, he has volunteered at MSH and continues to give his time every Monday in the Plastics Clinic. In recognition of his outstanding service, he was also a recipient of a 2025 Ontario Volunteer Service Award.

Ken’s impact at MSH extends well beyond his volunteer service. As a legacy donor, he has also included MSH Foundation in his Will, helping ensure future generations can continue to access exceptional care.

Thank you, Ken, for the many ways you give back and for all that you do for our hospital. 💙

The 41st Annual MSH Foundation Golf Tournament was a hole-in-one! ⛳️💙

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our golfers, sponsors, donors, volunteers and supporters, we raised over $275,000 in support of Oak Valley Health’s Markham Stouffville Hospital.

This year also marked a special milestone as we celebrated 20 years of Honeywell as our Presenting Sponsor. We are incredibly grateful for two decades of partnership and longstanding commitment to our hospital and the community we serve.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Coppinwood Golf Club and helped make this year’s tournament one to remember.

When the Sachi family thinks about Oak Valley Health's Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH), they don't think of one moment. They think of a lifetime.

Across three generations, the Sachi family has turned to MSH time and time again, with parents, grandparents, and children all relying on its services over the years.

"It's like home," shares Rajes Sachi. "I always think that even though it’s a big hospital, everybody’s always smiling when they see you."

Inspired by Aram, a Tamil philosophy centred on kindness, generosity, and doing good for others, the Sachi family is sharing their story to help ensure exceptional care remains close to home for more families like them.

With heavy hearts, Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation joins our extended community in mourning the loss of Mohammad Ashraf, a dear friend and former member of our Board of Directors.

Generous with his time and wisdom, Mohammad leaves us with an enduring legacy at Oak Valley Health’s Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH). As a Foundation Board Director during our first ever capital expansion campaign, Mohammad championed signature events both personally and professionally with extraordinary passion. After his tenure of more than ten years, he remained closely connected to the Foundation’s mission, always willing to lend a hand — and never without enthusiasm, warmth, or kindness.

His devotion to family shaped the way he served our community, making him a compassionate advocate for our hospital and the family-centred care he proudly supported. His family continues to carry his values forward as ambassadors for MSH, a reflection of Mohammad’s commitment to helping others through volunteerism and philanthropy.

We are grateful for Mohammad’s years of service and dedication — and for the lasting mark he leaves on our Foundation, our hospital, and our community. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered as a wise mentor, an exceptional role model, and a valued friend to all.

Our sincere condolences go out to Mohammad’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Every name on our Baby Wall tells a story.

For the Cheong family, it's the story of two children, two NICU journeys, and a hospital that was there when they needed it most.

Both Nova and Raynor were born at Oak Valley Health's Markham Stouffville Hospital. When Raynor arrived unexpectedly at just 32 weeks, he spent his first month in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Living close to the hospital meant parents Sheldon and Amy could be by his side every step of the way.

Today, seeing both of their children's names on the Baby Wall is a meaningful reminder of how far they've come and the care that helped their family through it.

As we celebrate National Son and Daughter Day, we're thinking of families like the Cheongs and the special moments that begin at MSH. 💙
