The 2026 Theatre BC Fraser Valley Zone Festival was a fabulous week of theatre, and camaraderie. Sincere thanks to the White Rock Players Club for hosting - it's a big job and you guys did a fantastic job, thanks to all your volunteers for their hard work. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly ❤️
Our adjudicator, Tamara McCarthy, was a refreshing experience - she was very detail oriented and took the time to provide some education at every critique, something that was valued and appreciated by all participants.
Congratulations to Langley Little Theatre for the Best Production Award, and to all the clubs and the recognition they received for their hard work and care.
We are all winners, because we love what we do!

Emerald Pig was recognized for a few things 💚
- Epic Dance Routine, lol (Sarah Hosta, Angela Bell and Sarah Helten/choreographer)
- Honourable Mention for Outstanding Ensemble: Angela Bell, Dave Tanchak, Daniel Stewart, Sarah Hosta
- Outstanding Emerging Director, Hazel Eason
- and our amazing 14 year old Stage Manager, Jack Mungal, who ran our lights and sound so expertly, having had no previous experience, was presented with the Spark Award - given to a youth or novice in Tech.
CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!

Now we say goodbye to Suburban Standoff, as our journey with this production has come to an end. Once again, thanks sincerely to the crew and the actors - to all the volunteers who helped move things or came out for Front of House - to the playwright, Michael Grant, for this wonderfully fun story - to everyone who helped to make this show a much loved success, including all those who came out to see it and supported the Emerald Pig Theatrical Society. You all mean the world to us!
..until next time 💚🐷🎭

The dust has settled and we moved out of the performance space on Sunday…now we’re just catching our breath and catching up on our lives after a wonderful show run of Suburban Standoff. Sincere thanks to everyone who came out and supported us, your laughter and positive feedback after the show is what we live for. And thank you to Mike Grant for writing this well balanced, “very funny but also sprinkled with humanity and heart” story - we’ve loved every moment of performing it. 💚🥰🙏🏼
If you missed this show, you really missed out. But as it happens…we will get one more chance to embody these beloved characters. You can still catch it at the Theatre BC Fraser Valley Zone Festival, 1 performance only on Friday May 22nd. Tickets at www.whiterockplayers.ca. In fact, there’s a whole week of great theatre waiting for you there. If you love live entertainment, then this event has your name all over it!

One more note of thanks, to everyone directly involved in this show for your hard work, dedication, and strong team spirit - it has been an honour to work with you all, thank you for caring about each other and remembering that theatre is a team sport 💚
See you on May 22! 😘🎭🥰
