السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

الحمد لله وحده، والصلاة والسلام على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه، وبعد؛

بلغنا مؤخراً القرار والإعلان الرسمي للمجلس القضائي الأعلى للحرمين الشريفين في مكة والمدينة بخصوص مراقبة هلال شهر شوال، وبه يُعلَم رسمياً بأن شهر رمضان سيستوفي 29 يوماً لهذا العام 1446 بعد الهجرة النبوية، اتباعاً لحديث نبينا صلى الله عليه وسلم كما رواه الشيخان:

«وإذا رأيتموه فأفطروا، فإن غم عليكم فاقدروا له»

لذلك سيكون عيد الفطر غداً، يوم الأحد 30 مارس 2025م، إن شاء الله تعالى.

عيدكم مبارك وتقبل الله منا ومنكم صالح الأعمال.

As-Salaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh,

We are glad to inform you of the news of the official decision and announcement of the High Judiciary Council of the Two Sacred Mosques of Makkah and Madeenah that we shall be completing twenty-nine (29) days of Ramadan (1446 A.H.), in accordance with the hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah (sal-Allaahu `alayhi wa sallam):

“…And break your fast when you see the crescent (of Shawwal). If it is obscured to you then fast thirty days (of Ramadan)” [transmitted by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim].

Subsequently, we shall be celebrating ’Eed al-Fitr tomorrow, Sunday, March 30th, 2025.

Thank You for a Wonderful Iftar!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for last night’s Iftar. It was truly a beautiful evening filled with great company, delicious food, and the spirit of togetherness. Your generosity in bringing dishes to share made it even more special.

A special thank you to our incredible volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this gathering possible. Your dedication and hard work did not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for all that you do!

We also extend our sincere gratitude to the Maple Ridge Seniors Activity Center for providing us with a wonderful space and setting up the hall exactly to our needs. Your support helped make the evening even more memorable.

We pray for our already tight-knit community to remain united and strong. May this blessed month continue to bring us all peace, joy, and countless blessings.

As-Salaamu-alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh,

We have recently been informed of the official decision and announcement of the the High Judiciary Council of the Two Sacred Mosques of Makkah and Madeenah that we shall be completing twenty nine (29) days of Sha'baan (1445 A.H.), in accordance with the hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah (sal-Allaahu `alayhi wa sallam): "Fast when you see the crescent.
If it is obscured to you, then complete thirty days of Sha'baan. And break your fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured to you then fast thirty days"
[transmitted by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim].

Consequently, we shall be starting our taraaweeh prayers TONIGHT (Sunday 10th of March, 2024) after the 'Ishaa prayer (9:00 PM), in preparation for the first fast of Ramadan on Monday 11th of March, 2024, inshaAllah.

May Allah allow us to reap the fruits of this blessed month. Aameen

In shaa Allah today’s Jumuah (Friday) prayers will be held at the Greg Moore Youth Centre Multipurpose Room at 12:45 PM.

Access is through the walkway between Walmart and the leisure centre. The doors will be open at the yellow building that lead to the room.

Access:
Enter the main doors of the leisure centre and room # 4 will be on your right.
Alternatively, you will also be able to access the room from the outside as shown in the picture below.

Parking is available in the basement of the leisure / civic centre. Please note that it is pay parking.
