Summer vacation is wrapping up, inboxes are filling up again… and MRCF’s Fall Granting Cycle is right around the corner.

Applications open next week on September 1 until September 30, giving eligible organizations one month to get their applications together.

If a new project is on your organization’s horizon, now is a great time to start preparing. Review the eligibility requirements, gather your supporting documents, finalize your project budget and make sure you’re ready to apply.

A huge thank you to Chief Dave Samson and the team at Hall 4 Kanaka for giving Elliot an incredible Junior Fire Chief for a Day experience!

Elliot’s grandparents won this one-of-a-kind experience during the live auction at our Community FORE Charity Golf Tournament, and it’s safe to say they picked a pretty great person to enjoy it. From getting an inside look at the fire hall to experiencing a day in the life of our local firefighters, Elliot was given the full Junior Fire Chief treatment!

Thank you to Chief Samson and Hall 4 Kanaka for making the day so special, and for helping us turn a golf tournament auction win into a memory that will last well beyond the course.

Last September, the Maple Ridge Community Foundation had the privilege of presenting a $10,000 cheque to InnerVisions Recovery Society. Part of the MRCF team got a tour of the facilities, ending at the construction zone that would soon become a 3-storey addition to Miller House.

Earlier this week, we had the honour of attending the ribbon cutting of that building. Seeing this project come to fruition is why we do what we do.

This long-held Canadian tradition has returned to our community again, and, in celebration of 125 Years of Country Fest, the Musical Ride will be offering FREE admission!

We're officially looking for dance teams for this year's Dancing in the Ridge! Whether you're representing a local business, community organization, sports team, or simply a group of friends, this is your chance to come together for an unforgettable experience.

You'll learn a choreographed routine, perform in front of a live audience, and help raise funds for the Maple Ridge Community Foundation. No dance experience is necessary.

Dancing in the Ridge will be taking place on November 12 at The ACT Arts Centre.

We’re proud to support the Ridge Meadows Chamber Golf Tournament on September 11 at Golden Eagle Golf Club!

This annual event brings local businesses, community leaders and partners together for a day of connection, collaboration and friendly competition, all while strengthening the spirit of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. ⁠

Golfers will kick off the morning with a De Dutch sponsored breakfast at 7:30am, followed by announcements at 8:30am and a 9am shotgun start. Players can take part in the ACE Challenge for a chance to win $10,000 courtesy of Driving Unlimited Academy, and swing for a car at the West Coast Auto hole in one contest. ⁠

We’re excited to join the Chamber and community partners for a fantastic day on the green at Golden Eagle. See you out there!

At this year's Community FORE Charity Golf Tournament, Maple Ridge Community Foundation President Kevin Nosworthy presented former Board Director Justin Fuller with a commemorative award in recognition of his years of dedicated service to the Foundation.

Although Justin has completed his time on the Board, his commitment to the Foundation continues through his ongoing support of the Community FORE Charity Golf Tournament. We are grateful for his leadership, generosity, and the many ways he continues to give back to our community.
