A poison pill is hidden in Ontario Bill 105, Schedule 9!!
The Ontario government is trying to remove the 72-month lock-in for injured workers who have permanent injuries and can’t return to work and put us on perpetual probation.
Right now, after 6 years, WSIB benefits are locked in. This gives injured workers stability. Bill 105 would remove this.
It would allow endless reviews and cuts at any time. This will make disabled workers poorer and harm their mental health.
Call, Email, get involved! An injury to one is an injury to all!

The Ford Government is in the process of pushing Bill 105 through with no consultations.

This bill is harmful to Injured Workers and you all need to reach out to put a stop to it.

Injured workers are strongly against the proposal to end the 72-month lock-in provisions. This will hurt permanently injured workers and take away the stability of compensation, replacing it with endless assessments. For injured workers, these changes guarantee uncertainly, embed poverty and will contribute to further psychological harm.

The continual assessments refer to ensuring that injured workers never exceed 100% net average earnings which means receiving a pension of any kind will be reviewed and the amount deducted from the injured workers Loss of earning.

Please stand up and do your part! Now is the time!
