Thank you to everyone who filled our donation box with gently used shoes at the MURC last night. It was great to chat with everyone about the Junior Optimist Clubs initiative to collect 10,000 pairs of shoes for Soles4Souls Canada.
Our next collection event will be Saturday August 30th at our Pop up at the Park event hosted at the Optimist Park (parking at Lakeside Public School) from 10:00 till 12:00.
Donations can also be dropped off at
Elaine's Black River Coffee, Msj5corners, Master Mechanic Keswick Georgina Chamber of Commerce and the MURC.

Looking for local businesses, community groups and those that love Halloween to join us with a themed trunk for our annual Trunk or Treat event. Trunk or Treat will be hosted at S&B Motors from 11:00 till 2:00 with 700 kids and their families joining in on this event.

Space is limited for our NEW Junior Optimist Co****le League beginning Friday September 18th at The Salvation Army Church from 6:00 till 8:00.
Program is free to join and is open to youth of all abilities from age 10 to 17.

Program is designed to help youth learn the basics of Co****le while having fun and making new friends.

Thank you to those who have donated to the shoe drive hosted by the Junior Optimist Club we have reached 250 pairs of gently used shoes!
If you have shoes that you no longer need please consider supporting our goal to collect 10,000 pairs of shoes for soles4soles.
Our Junior members will be at the MURC on August 19th from 5:00 till 8:00 and at Optimist Park (in the Lakeside PS parking lot) on August 30th from 10:00 till 12:00 collecting shoes.
You can also drop them off at Elaine's Black River Coffee, Msj5corners, Georgina Chamber of Commerce, and Master Mechanic Keswick.

The 2027 Essay and Oratorical Scholarship topics are now available. Each year our club host a local essay and oratorical competition offering a $250 bursary to the winner and the opportunity to represent the club at higher levels within the Optimist Organization.
