25 Years of Memories...
A look back to Maryholme in the 1990's and early 2000's with some photos that Sr. Frances Ordway IBVM shared from her many stays here. While here she so enjoyed playing golf at the local Orchard Beach golf course. Many years later as the need became evident for Maryholme to have a golf cart available for our grounds team to be able to get around on the land more easily, Sr. Frances donated the funds for the purchase of the first cart. Maryholme named the cart 'Frances' in her honour, and our new cart carries the same nameplate and is fondly referred to as such whenever the cart comes up in conversation :)

We are so pleased to offer our first Men's Spirituality Retreat, this November 13-15.

Created specifically for men to be able to explore how one can actively nurture your interior life… through reflection and prayer, and daily acts of tenderness, resilience, purpose, and authenticity. The intention of this weekend is to create a space where men can be in a supportive environment to be with the holy; explore (through reflection, prayer and conversation) your own sense of what the “holy” really is about for you; and find support for the journey.

Dan Leckman, s.j., is a sought-after spiritual director and long-time retreat leader. He is a man who knows joy and suffering; and has deep compassion that informs his varied relationships and his world-view. His wide range of interests include Russian studies, community economic development, and supporting First Nations communities. He is also fluent in French. Dan chose to be a Jesuit brother, rather than priest, because he is naturally drawn to be a brother to many men and women.

This photo is sure to bring back some wonderful memories for those who've spent time swimming, sunning, reading & journalling, or just taking in the wonderful view from our old dock. The lake is and has been a gift to our Maryholme guests in so many ways over the years. Thank you Lake Simcoe.
