25 Years of Memories...
Some interesting views of how the courtyard connecting Edgar House and Fensom Cottage used to look in Sep/2003. (Originally the area connecting the two buildings was for the Edgar and Fensom family's staff (cook, nanny) to walk back & forth from the main house to the servant's quarters.) In 2003 the white fence providing privacy to this walkway was painted with colourful and whimsical images by volunteers to brighten it all up to provide a cheery feel for that space. Later the courtyard area had brick laid to connect the two buildings and offer a pathway from the driveway to the lawn. To this day the courtyard remains a lovely place for guests and retreatants to read, journal and sit quietly at the big table under the sunshade. The courtyard pathway coming in from under the white arbour at the driveway is now lined with beautiful flowers and fragrant bushes that delight the senses.

25 Years of Memories...
Enjoy this look back to 2002 and 2003 at Edgar House's Sunporch which still offers the best space to sit and enjoy community or some stillness while taking in the gorgeous views. From the breakfast area down to the turret, across the area where the original swing hangs now, and over to the now directors' office, it always delivers. The carpet is now a light speckled ivory, the walls have since been painted a lovely two-tone sea glass blue and ivory by Sandra, and the cushions have been re-upholstered that still cover the original wicker furniture. And as we say - the artwork we continue to choose for the enclosed sunporch is the lake and lawn views that are all a part of the sacred space being held for you at Maryholme...

25 Years of Memories...
Just one of many fun staff luncheons over the years celebrating Yvonne Steffler CJ's birthday in September. This photo is from 2018 showing one side of a very full table of love, with Sr. Yvonne smiling at the camera. Happy Birthday coming up, Sr. Yvonne! 🥰
