Routes Connecting Communities Inc. A York Region community-based not-for-profit helping people who are dealing with life challenges

Routes has been dedicated to helping people get to where they need to go since 1989. We improve access to basic needs and special destinations, enhance community engagement, and improve social connections through safe, affordable, compassionate, and timely transportation, food delivery, and phone calls. We help those who are experiencing social, physical, mental, and financial limitations, and are

there in times of need for members of our community. With our network of partners, clients, drivers, and callers, we help to create a resilient future for our community!

This week is National Accessibility Week in Canada!

This week, as well as every other, it is important to acknowledge how accessible spaces and resources can have life-altering impacts on peoples lives.

Routes Connecting Communities takes pride in providing accessible support to our community members, so they can navigate challenges without compromising where it really matters.

Do you have a story about how accessibility has positively impacted your life? Feel free to leave a comment, we'd love to hear it!

Volunteers save the summer ☀️🚗

Between April and October, double the ride requests get rejected due to fewer available drivers , and we need your help to keep our community moving. From medical appointments to essential services, every ride you give makes a real difference.

We’re looking for 5 volunteer drivers by June 1 to help fill the gap. If you have a valid G license, an insured vehicle, and availability during weekday daytime hours, you could be the reason someone gets the care and support they need.

💛 Plus, stay with us for 6 months and receive a $100 Esso gift card as a thank-you!

Ready to drive change this summer? Learn more and apply today: www.routescc.org/volunteer
