Update - Located / Safe

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Eldridge is asked to contact West Hants Detachment RCMP at 902-798-2207 or their local police agency.

The person reported missing, last seen on August 28 at 9:45 a.m. leaving Garlands Crossing, has been safely located.

The RCMP thanks Nova Scotians for assisting with missing person files through social media shares and offering tips.

* Graphic use of SFX Medical Implements *

Last evening Five members from Valley Search and Rescue hiked in to Amythest Cove to act as injured hikers for a training exercise with new SAR Techs from CAF Comorant 'Tusker 907'.

VSAR Members, presented a variety of injuries that hikers might experience and require remote rescue.

Team Members also used Air Radio skills in communicating with the helicopter. This requires training and possession of an Air Radio license.

Were honoured to have Kim Masland, MLA for Queens and Minister for Emergency Managment vist our base today along with DEM and REMO members, They were able to what our team does as well discuss needs moving forward and the realities of being a volunteer first responder agency.

She was shown our Project Lifesaver Association of Nova Scotia program and gear
