⛳🏆 Giving Back Through Community
This past weekend, members of our leadership team had the privilege of participating in a charity golf tournament with a truly inspiring story behind it.

The tournament was organized by an individual who experienced a serious burn injury and received incredible support from the Nova Scotia Fire Fighters Burn Treatment Society throughout his recovery. From assistance with expenses to helping him navigate a challenging healing journey, the organization made a meaningful difference in his life. As a way of expressing his gratitude and giving back, he created this tournament to raise funds and awareness for the Burn Treatment Society and the important work they do.

We were honored to be part of such a worthwhile cause, spending the day enjoying great weather, connecting with community members, and supporting an organization that has positively impacted so many lives.

To top it all off, our team was thrilled to take home 1st Place! 🏆🎉

Congratulations to everyone involved in making the event such a success, and thank you to the organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and participants who helped raise support for an incredible cause. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of others.

🌊✨ Adventure, Discovery, and Living Life to the Fullest! ✨🌊

Recently, one of our participants enjoyed an unforgettable trip to Prince Edward Island filled with new experiences, exciting adventures, and lasting memories.

From exploring the fascinating exhibits at Ripley's Believe It or Not, to stepping into the world of Anne of Green Gables, every day brought something new to discover. The trip also included relaxing in a beautiful hotel, enjoying local attractions, and making memories that will be cherished for years to come.

At New Vision Care Homes, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live their best life. When barriers stand in the way of meaningful experiences, we work alongside participants, families, staff, and community partners to help break those barriers down.

Because life's greatest moments shouldn't be limited by circumstance—they should be accessible to everyone.

We are proud to support opportunities that promote independence, inclusion, personal growth, and joy. Seeing participants explore new places, pursue their interests, and create unforgettable memories is what makes our work so rewarding.

🌸🚐 A Blooming Success at the Apple Blossom Parade! 🚐🌸

What an incredible weekend for New Vision!

Our participants and staff came together to create and showcase a fantastic parade entry at the Valley Apple Blossom Festival in Town of Kentville, and we are thrilled to share that we were awarded 2nd Place for Floats! 🏆🥈

From the planning and decorating to waving at the crowds along the parade route, this was truly a team effort that highlighted the spirit, creativity, and dedication of everyone involved. With beautiful weather, smiling faces, and thousands of spectators lining the streets, it was a perfect day to celebrate community and inclusion.

Events like these provide wonderful opportunities for our participants to engage with the community, build connections, create lasting memories, and proudly showcase the amazing people who make New Vision such a special organization. Seeing participants and staff working side-by-side, sharing laughs, and receiving so much support from the crowd was truly inspiring.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring our float to life and to the community members who cheered us on throughout the day. We are proud to be part of such a welcoming and vibrant community.

The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and so many meaningful moments shared with friends, family, and staff. The celebrations started at home surrounded by people who care deeply about him, before continuing the fun with another birthday party at 's Place filled with joy, excitement, and community spirit.

These are the moments that truly matter — creating memories, building connections, and celebrating each person for who they are.

We are so thankful for the opportunity to work alongside amazing community organizations like Tracy's Place to help support the happiness, fulfillment, and inclusion of our participants each and every day. Over the past week, two of our Participants worked with their Shelburne County Special Olympics Team to raise money for their summer provincial games trip to STFX in July. They held a bake sale at Barrington 's Canada McHappy Days that raised over $250. Our participants also volunteered at a breakfast for their fellow team mate that will be competing in the Special Olympics National games held in Medicine Hat. Way to go Athletes!
