There will be a Public Information Meeting on June 16 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers (181 Coldbrook Village Park Drive) regarding a planning project to review housing policies and regulations within Growth Centres of the Municipality of the County of Kings.

EDIT: It's sad when it takes something like this to fire people up about our little community. Many of you , just like myself , have roots that run deep here. Maybe if you're not doing so, place a little of that fire into volunteering.

This is what volunteering looks like, dealing with individuals who think that our little community is a great place to pitch a tent, drink, do drugs , litter, run their mouths and feel they're entitled to do so. Last night they got the message. You are not welcomed and you will not be staying.

Today's post is to acknowledge with the utmost gratitude Tam Veinot When things at the Centre and in our community changed in a moments notice with the loss of our then President Joe, we were left in a position that no one had planned for. It really was a difficult time for everyone, as we were trying to figure out who could, or more importantly would , take on such a role and that's where Tam stepped up. In the last year and a half she has done an incredible job keeping the Centre running with little to no hiccups, beleive me that was no easy job & I will forever be thankful to her for that🩷💐

I also want to acknowledge all the work of her executive, her board of directors and all those that continued to just do what they needed to do to support her. I want to send a special mention to Tammy Gregory as well, for ALWAYS having Tam's back, working side by side with her and supporting her as only a best friend can . My hope is that the incredible team of Tammie & Tammy continue to be constant fixtures at our Centre 💖

Thinking of the Gee family and all those who knew & loved Vina. We are so very sorry for your loss of a wife, mother and proud grandparent . As a community we mourn the loss of a longtime resident & friend.
