'Happy Father's Day' as translated by Samson LaMontague

Today, we celebrate Indigenous fathers who are leading the way in reclaiming their heritage and strengthening their communities.

On behalf of the Two Rivers Métis Society Board of Directors, we'd like to honour the strength and resilience of our Métis fathers as they work towards healing and creating positive family legacies. May your wisdom and experience continue to inspire and educate others.

Keep Moving Forward!
♾️🐦🌳🚶‍♂️🦆🚶‍♀️

A warm maarsii to our many community members and allies who participated in the very first Mamawi Pimohtetan (Walking Together) TRMS Walking Program 🙌

This 8 week drop in program offered community members an opportunity to connect with each other, encourage daily physical activity and promote well being through April and May! 🌿

Special thanks to ISPARC (Indigenous Sport and Physical Activity Recreation Council) for generously sponsoring this program through their IRWW (Indigenous Run, Walk, Wheel) grant 🤝

Participants were treated each week with nutritious snacks, bottled water, juice boxes, giveaway items and a weekly draw for a $25Nu Leaf gift card! 🍎

Here are just a few of the weekly shots we got of the group 👇🏼☀️📸
