Life keeps moving forward, seasons change, new memories are made… but grief has a way of staying quietly beside you. 🤍

We’re so grateful to have Gumby and Zeppelin here with us now, and for Cruz to have friends around him helping with his grief. But it never takes away missing Nori and Moses.

The other day I stood in our new garage on a hot afternoon and instantly thought of Nori. Every summer she’d somehow always find the coolest place to lay with her big fluffy self, and all I could think was, “God, she would’ve loved this floor.”

They never really leave you. They stay in the little moments, the memories, and the spaces you wish they could’ve seen.

Some seasons feel extra heavy, extra beautiful, and extra overwhelming all at once. 🤍

We said goodbye to our sweet Lady, welcomed Darby & Dove to help bring peace back to the flock, and watched Willow leave for her forever home in Windsor where she’s already so loved.

The sheep got their yearly haircuts and now bounce around the pasture looking like little deer, while poor Clive is healing up after hurting his foot. And somehow, baby Milo isn’t really a baby anymore… slowly weaning off bottles, growing bigger every day, and spending his days close to his mom and Auntie Daisy. Watching him grow has been one of the sweetest gifts. 🥹

Between tornado warnings, brutal storms, muddy boots, cold gardens that refuse to grow, and the endless daily chores waiting for us each morning… it’s been a lot.

But even on the exhausting days, when things feel messy and nonstop, we look around at all these lives trusting us and remember exactly why we do this.

Thank you for following along, supporting this little sanctuary, and caring about these animals as deeply as we do. 🤍

Milo update 🐑

He’s slowly transitioned into the barn full-time and is doing really well.

We’re starting to wean him off bottles now, and he’s eating hay like a champ and figuring out life with the rest of the crew.

Still follows people around.
Still yells when he thinks food is involved.
Still tiny enough to get away with it.

Crazy to think how much he’s grown already 🤍

This is Willow 🤍

Car rides? Yes.
Kids? Yes.
Walks? Heck yes.

Eager to please and already trying so hard.

She’s still learning — she’ll need continued training —
but for only a few weeks in a home environment… she’s already killing it.

The best part?
She’s got that balance.

Adventure partner when you want to move…
and the kind of dog who’s ready to crash beside you after.

Most definitely someone’s soulmate 🤍

Welcome to the farm, Willow 🖤

Willow just arrived today from her foster home, and she’s already showing us how gentle and special she is. Curious, sweet, and taking it all in.

Over the next little while, she’ll be settling into kids, cats, doggy friends, and all the farm chaos — we’ll keep sharing her journey as she learns what it means to belong.

For now… she’s safe, she’s here, and we already love her so much.

Welcome to sweet girl.

is also looking for foster families. Fostering is a rewarding way to help dogs like Willow & a great option for those considering dog ownership without a long-term commitment.

They weren’t supposed to make it… 🐑💛

We rescued Honey and Daisy as tiny lambs who needed bottle feeding and round-the-clock care, and raised them here at our sanctuary.

Five years later… girl, they’ve got full boss lady energy. They walk the field like they run the place—completely unbothered, confident, and who gives a heck 😌🐑

From bottle babies to running the whole vibe—somehow we just live in their world now.

We love you, Honey and Daisy 💛

Happy 10th birthday to our little wiener, Cruz 🐾🎉

Ten years of short legs, big personality, and serious dachshund opinions on absolutely everything. From the happiest barks to the loudest snuggly sighs, Cruz has kept life full of love.

After a bit of a tough year with some health scares, we’re extra grateful to see him here today—still bossing around the house, still demanding naps in the sun, and still living life exactly the way a wiener dog should; plenty of blanket burrowing.

Here’s to Cruz at 10—our lovable little shadow who naps like it’s a full-time job and barks like he’s paid hourly 🤣🐶💛
