For fifteen years, we have walked alongside global partners as EduDeo ministries, witnessing firsthand the power of Christ-centered education to reshape communities. From the first classrooms supported to the thousands of students now thriving, every story has been a testament to what happens when we invest in the potential of a child.

To mark this special anniversary, a generous donor has stepped forward with a challenge that honors our history and fuels our future. From May 25 to July 1, every gift made will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to a total of $15,000.

Today we celebrate The Alice Vanderkooy Transforming Education Award!

Alice was a dear friend of EduDeo, serving as a Walking Together volunteer. Before her passing, Alice chose to leave a legacy of love. She wanted to see emerging and established educators around the world have opportunities to seek professional development. She saw their passion and skill and she wanted to help remove obstacles to further education.

Each year on the anniversary of her birthday, we recognize educators who have a heart for their communities and for Christ-centred education. They are eager to equip the next generation and are pursuing continuing education opportunities. This year, we're excited to announce 3 recipients of the award:

💛 Samuel Kesse Frimpong: is a teacher at Amrahia Community School with our partner in Ghana. This year, he will be pursuing a Master’s in Educational Psychology. Samuel’s passion for student welfare, mentorship, and psychosocial support within educational settings will be greatly enriched.

💙Alejandra Maldonado: Alejandra is the Education Manager for AMG Guatemala. She has been supported for several years as she continues to work towards her Master's in Educational Leadership.

💚Kate Serwaa Ampratwum: is the team leader for our partner’s education program in Ghana. This year, she is working on a Masters in Educational Administration and Management. This will support her work in sponsorship programs, school supervision, and program management.

Congratulations to each of the 2026 recipients on their educational achievements! 🎉

Last Friday was our Second Annual Golf Tournament! ⛳

We had an incredible day on the course, engaging in friendly competition and enjoying a beautiful May day. Through the tournament, over $50,000 was raised to equip more children around the world with bursaries. Through these bursaries, barriers to a Christ-centred education are removed, and more children will have access to an education rooted in the Gospel.

We're so appreciative of the golfers and sponsors who supported the tournament this year - thank you!
