🥐 Culture Cooking: This Month’s Feature! ☕
We are so excited to announce this month's destination for our culture cooking series! This time, we’re heading to South India to bake a truly special, hyper-regional comfort food: Kerala-Style Egg Puffs! 🇮🇳✨
While you can find variations across South India, this specific version is deeply regional and incredibly nostalgic. If you haven't had one before, you are in for an absolute treat.
What’s on the Menu?
The South Indian Egg Puff: Think flaky, golden-brown layers of baked puff pastry, stuffed with a deeply savory, spiced onion masala and a perfectly hard-boiled egg. It's the ultimate savory teatime snack.
Authentic South Indian Coffee: We won't just be eating—we're also brewing up fresh coffee using our very own house-blend coffee powder for the perfect pairing.

Happy Pride Month from SQUAD! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Pride is a celebration of authenticity, resilience, and community. It is also a protest. Pride was born from the courage of 2SLGBTQIA+ people who challenged discrimination, demanded dignity, and fought for the rights many of us enjoy today.

As we celebrate the diversity, strength, and joy of our community, we also recognize that the work is not finished. Many members of our community continue to face barriers, discrimination, and inequity.

At SQUAD, we remain committed to creating inclusive, safer spaces where everyone can be seen, heard, respected, and valued for who they are.

This Pride Month, we honour those who came before us, support those who are fighting today, and work toward a future where everyone can thrive.

Bon Mois de la Fierté de la part de SQUAD! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

La Fierté est une célébration de l’authenticité, de la résilience et de la communauté. C’est aussi une manifestation. La Fierté est née du courage des personnes 2SLGBTQIA+ qui ont contesté la discrimination, revendiqué leur dignité et lutté pour les droits dont plusieurs bénéficient aujourd’hui.

Alors que nous célébrons la diversité, la force et la joie de notre communauté, nous reconnaissons également que le travail n’est pas terminé. De nombreuses personnes de notre communauté continuent de faire face à des obstacles, à la discrimination et aux inégalités.

À SQUAD, nous demeurons engagés à créer des espaces inclusifs et plus sécuritaires où chaque personne peut être vue, entendue, respectée et valorisée pour ce qu’elle est.

En ce Mois de la Fierté, nous rendons hommage à celles et ceux qui nous ont précédés, nous soutenons celles et ceux qui poursuivent la lutte aujourd’hui, et nous travaillons ensemble vers un avenir où chacun et chacune pourra s’épanouir.

Good evening everyone! Come on out this Tuesday for the first part of our Plant Swap events this month and paint your own planter! Then when we go to Part 2 next week, let's plant them in our own hand painted pots!

For those who don't have a green thumb - don't worry! You're still 100% percent welcome! We will have some plants here that are perfect for beginners and for those who are still a little nervous, keep them for another future workshop we have planned on the horizon. But shhhhh! It's a secret! ;)
