Trumpeter 2026 details :

please register on the Alberta Chess Association webpage under the “tournaments” tab and then go to the “upcoming events “ link.

Date : June 6 and 7th 2026

5 Rounds start at 10 am both days. 3 rounds on sat, two on sunday Please be there by 930 am.

Must have current CFC membership bought on or before June 3, 2026.

Registration fee is 50 dollars if you preregister, 60 dollars if you dont.

this is a classical tournament the time limit being 90 minutes plus 30 seconds a move. you must record all your moves.

phones must be turned off during your game as per ACA and CFC rules of fair play.

Congratulations to the co winners of our April 2026 Rapid Tournament Jason Green and Eddy Tjandrajana. They both had a 4 out of 5 score. Thanks to James Hamm for helping direct the tournament. A big shout out to the 11 people who showed up to play as well. Quick reminder our classical tournament The Trumpeter is on June 6 and 7 2026 at Northwestern Polytechnic in the J wing second level same as last year. You can register on the Alberta Chess Association website, and all further details are listed there.

Please note tonights chess session April 21 , 2026 will be in the training room at the Library. so you turn right and go past the elevator and you will find the room. The active tournament on this Saturday will be back in the community room, as per usual. Next week we will also be back in the community room on tuesday, for our regular time.

Please note we are in the rotary training room again tonite. We will be playing from 6 to 8 pm as usual.

please note this week our session at the Library will be in the rotary training room, instead of the rotary community room . you need to go in and turn left past the elevator, and go about twenty feet before youll see the entrance to the training room. same time 6 to 8 pm. next week we will be back in our regular room.
