Road trip to Evolution Freestyle for a few athletes today. Huge thanks to the crew there for having us—their airbag setup is amazing! Everyone was so incredibly welcoming, and the coaches were fantastic. It was a great day all around!

Year one:
She didn’t know where to stand.
Held her breath at the top of the course.
Every run felt like too much.
Cold fingers. Warmer nerves. No system yet.

Year two:
She learned the flow of the hill.
Where to wait. When to watch.
How to spot her kid in a helmet and goggles.
One quick drop-in.
Then it was over before she exhaled.

Year three:
She stopped watching the tricks.
She started watching her child.
The way they carried themselves.
This changed everything.

Year four:
She found her people.
In lodges before sunrise.
On chairlifts in the quiet.
She didn’t know she was missing them.

Year five:
She stopped counting the cost.
The gear. The travel. The early mornings.
She started counting what it built.

The math is completely different
from that direction.

Now:
She stands at the bottom of the hill
and thinks about year one

And she wants to go back
and tell her one thing.

You have no idea
what’s coming.
