🧡 Happy National Indigenous Peoples Day.

Today we celebrate the history, heritage, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples across Canada, and we reflect on how your Foundation can better serve every person in this region.

Your Foundation is working toward a meaningful and long overdue project at your hospital: an Indigenous Cultural Space.

This dedicated space will be designed with Indigenous patients, families, and community members in mind. It will include a boardroom, kitchenette, washer and dryer, and spaces available for smudging, ceremonies, and access to traditional medicines. A place within your hospital where Indigenous people feel genuinely welcomed, respected, and supported throughout their healthcare journey.

Because healthcare that truly serves everyone looks different for everyone. And your Foundation is committed to making that a reality in your region. 🧡

A heartfelt thank you to Bethany and the women of the Relief Society with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for assembling hygiene bags for patients in our Mental Health Unit.

The group thoughtfully prepared bags for both men and women, helping ensure patients have access to essential personal care items during their stay. Their kindness and generosity make a meaningful difference, and we are grateful for their support and compassion for those in our care. 💙
