🐾 Responsible Pet Ownership Starts With All of Us

Whether you live in a Greenview hamlet, on an acreage or on a rural property, being a responsible pet owner means keeping your animals safe and respecting your neighbours, their property, livestock and other animals.

Simple steps make a difference:
🐕 Keep your pets under control and prevent them from roaming onto neighbouring properties.
🔇 Take steps to prevent excessive barking and other disruptive behaviour.
💩 Clean up after your pets.
🏡 Keep pets off other people’s property unless you have permission.
🐾 Make sure your animals do not chase, bite or act aggressively toward people, pets or livestock.

Within Greenview hamlets, these responsibilities are also addressed and enforced through Greenview’s Animal Control Bylaw No. 25-991. While the bylaw applies specifically within hamlet boundaries, responsible pet ownership matters in every community and rural area across Greenview.

Keeping animals properly controlled helps protect your pet, your neighbours and the animals around you.

Learn more about Greenview’s Animal Control Bylaw on our website athttps://mdgreenview.ab.ca/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Bylaw-25-991-Animal-Control.pdf, or contact a Greenview Community Peace Officer if you have questions.

As a local community initiative we know how much stress these situations can bring to a non profit and the impact that it can have.

If you are looking for a new furry friend or able to donate a monetary amount, even sharing the story- anything can and will help!

Let’s band together to support these animals and groups of people and organizations that make second chances possible!! ❤️
