📢 AWN COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SESSION – YOUR VOICE MATTERS!

The Aseniwuche Winewak Nation (AWN) invites community members to attend an important information and engagement session regarding the Proposed Grande Cache All-Season Resort Area.

Representatives from the Government of Alberta will be joining us to share information, answer questions, and hear from our community.

📅 Date: Monday, October 26, 2026
🕠 Time: 5:30 – 7:30 PM (Presentation begins at 6:00 PM)
📍 Location: 10003 99 Street, Grande Cache, AB
🍽️ A meal will be provided!

This is an opportunity for AWN members to learn more about the proposed designation of Crown land near Grande Cache, understand what it could mean for our community, and share questions, concerns, and perspectives.

No resort development has been approved at this time.

💬 Your voice is important! Community feedback will help inform AWN's response to this proposal. We encourage all members to attend, stay informed, and take part in the discussion.

✅ Maps and information materials will be available.
✅ Translation will be available.

Come learn, ask questions, and have your say about decisions that may affect our lands and community!

🌿 Connecting Our Youth to Our Land, Culture & Traditions 🌿

The Aseniwuche Winewak Nation (AWN) is proud to share this wonderful article highlighting our youth and their opportunity to visit Jasper and enjoy a special tour with Pursuit! 🏔️🌲

This experience also provided our youth with a valuable introduction to the tourism industry, allowing them to explore Jasper, learn about tourism opportunities in their traditional territory, and see how their connection to the land, culture, and history can play an important role in the visitor experience.

Our land holds our stories, teachings, and traditions. Creating opportunities for our youth to experience these connections firsthand is an important part of preserving our culture and passing down knowledge for generations to come.

A heartfelt thank you to Lauren Moberly and everyone who helps make these meaningful experiences possible!

🌲 Our land. Our culture. Our future.

For fifteen Aseniwuche Winewak Nation youth, a two-day trip to Jasper with Pursuit became something much bigger, a first encounter with the land their ancestors once called home.
