Huron Hurricanes Aquatic Club

Huron Hurricanes Aquatic Club Competitive and Fitness SWIMMING for Youth and Adults of all Ages and Abilities. Swim with us to achieve Personal Bests, or to gain Strength and Endurance!

HHAC is a non-profit, competitive swim club in Huron County. The Hurricanes swim in both Vanastra Rec Centre and the Goderich-Huron YMCA and draw from as far as Kincardine and Exeter. The Hurricanes are up to 50 members and growing! We have swimmers as young as 6 and as old as 18 and we learn about the 4 competitive strokes, Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, & Freestyle. We have swimmers who lo

ve to race and dream big, and also swimmers who just love to be fit! The Hurricanes also encourage good sportsmanship, honesty, and determination, in a family oriented environment.

What a weekend for HHAC.

Abygail C. and Henry A. represented our club at the East Coast Championships in Halifax with outstanding performances across the board. Between them, they achieved personal best times in nearly every event — a huge accomplishment at this level of competition.

Together, they broke 11 club records and brought home a silver medal, a fourth-place finish, and two fifth-place ribbons.

This is what dedication, consistency, and hard work look like.

We are incredibly proud of you both — way to represent HHAC.

You’re Invited to the Huron Hurricanes Aquatic Club Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!

Join us as we celebrate the grand opening of our new starting blocks at the Goderich YMCA on November 27, 2025, from 5:30pm–6:45pm!
Enjoy an exciting evening featuring:

Demonstrations of the new starting blocks and swimming techniques led by our Dedicated Coaches and select Huron Hurricanes swimmers

Local Rolla will be open during the event for dinner

Raffle tickets available for great prizes

A Buy & Swap table for gently used swim gear
