We don't want to mention the W word (winter) given the sunshine we're experiencing lately, but in our latest video series, local Huron County resident Jennica Kuyvenhoven shares her story of navigating an unexpected health emergency that required an MRI for diagnosis.

This left Jennica forced with juggling childcare and travel to the city with an impending winter storm making its way to the region. Dr. Tiffaney Kittmer explains that her diagnosis would have been possible close to home if MRI technology were available locally.

Yet another reason to support the Magnetic Moments campaign, a $6,500,000 capital campaign to bring an MRI to Huron County.

An amazing experience every year at Alexandra Marine & General Hospital. So grateful for the students participation and the welcoming environment our staff and physicians provided.

What an incredible week it has been welcoming first-year students from Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry - Western University to our hospital as part of Discovery Week!

Over the past few days, we’ve had the opportunity to share not only what healthcare looks like within our hospital, but also what makes Goderich such a great place to live and work.

A special thank you to Natalie, Kate, Gabrielle, and Helen for bringing so much enthusiasm and curiosity to every experience. We hope your time here gave you a meaningful look into rural healthcare and the caring community behind it.

We also want to extend our sincere thanks to our staff, physicians, and community members for their warm welcome and support in making this experience possible.

Last but not least, we present Mac Voisin and Marcela Bahar, cabinet members on the Magnetic Moments campaign.

Mac Voisin is a Canadian entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist with a long track record of building successful businesses and supporting community-focused initiatives. Best known as the founder of M&M Food Market, Mac has since focused his efforts on projects that blend business excellence with social impact. In 2018, he became a co-owner of White Squirrel Golf Club, helping transform it into a premier golf and hospitality destination in Huron County. Deeply committed to giving back, Mac actively supports charitable organizations, cultural events, and community development initiatives across Ontario.

Marcela Bahar is an award-winning clay and glass artist, designer, and creative director whose work has been featured internationally and twice on HGTV. Born in the Czech Republic, Marcela built a successful artistic career in Canada, exhibiting at leading galleries and co-curating national and international exhibitions. In recent years, she has applied her creative vision to hospitality and place-making, serving as lead designer and branding advisor for White Squirrel Golf Club. Her work blends sustainability, design, and experience-driven spaces, earning her recognition for both artistic excellence and community contribution.
