Tim Hortons Fredericton and Minto Group Smile Cookie campaign sold 59,056 cookies in one week, raising $119,356 in our local area. Our chapter was pleased to decorate cookies for Women in Transition and Hospice Fredericton.

Since 2024, the Doris E. Sullivan Chapter has proudly supported Greener Village (food bank) through our meaningful “Birthday Bag” initiative, delivered twice each year.
Each Birthday Bag contains the essentials needed to help celebrate a special day — giving families the opportunity to share joyful moments together with family and friends.
Through this ongoing project, our chapter is honoured to help create happy memories and remind community members that they are cared for and supported.

We are thrilled to announce the outstanding shortlist for the National Chapter of Canada IODE Violet Downey Book Award, selected from an impressive range of books published or distributed in Canada in 2025. Congratulations to the authors and their publishers whose exceptional works have been selected for the 2026 IODE Violet Downey Book Award shortlist. At our May meeting, chapter members enjoyed a wonderful presentation from Signature Sisters Designs of Fredericton. Whether you’re looking for seasonal decorating, help with parties and events, or simply need an extra hand because life gets busy, Signature Sisters Designs has you covered. Be sure to follow their page as they continue to grow and share lots of fun ideas and inspiration.
We were also pleased to welcome IODE 48th Highlander member Lindsay Lake to the meeting. It is wonderful to connect with other chapters.
Chapter President Anne Woodside officially opened the meeting, and members gathered for an evening of fellowship, community involvement, and chapter business. Follow our page over the coming weeks to learn more about the business conducted during the meeting.
Members also donated craft supplies for the Boys & Girls Club Fredericton to use during their summer camps, helping support fun and creative activities for local children throughout the summer season.

Denise was joined by her grandson to support Hospice House Fredericton at the Smile Cookie campaign at the Tim Hortons Brookside location. Chapter members Denise, Linda, and Sandra truly enjoyed his bright spirit and youthful energy—it made the day even more special.

What a great time! It is wonderful to connect with Trudi and Jan from Women in Transition House Inc. Promoting and organizing their participants is what makes Tim's Smile Cookie event a successful fundraiser for them. Come to Tim's on Hanwell, even one cookie makes a difference.
Our members were happy to have Akari from CIBC work with them today.
